Laura Bettenhausen

Laura is a junior at UW–Madison double majoring in Environmental Studies and Sociology with a certificate in Food Systems. They will be greeting guests, doing administrative tasks for the director of community relations, and crafting social media content to keep the community up to date about happenings at SMP and in the nearby area. They are interested in improving access to shared spaces and fostering a sense of unity between people from all walks of life. They have experience doing research about the reentry process from prison, and have also worked as a horticulture intern on campus at Allen Centennial Garden. In the future they hope to have a career that combines their passions of social justice and the environment.
