Position title: Assistant Director of Community and Campus Engagement
Adin Palau has been Assistant Director of Community and Campus Engagement at the Office of Community Relations since February 2020. In this role, he is responsible for communicating recognizable entry points for off-campus audiences seeking to establish partnerships to support campus operations and human resources. Beginning in 2000, Palau was on the staff of the UW–Madison Office of Human Resources, focusing on community outreach efforts to bring greater diversity to staff applicant pools. As campuswide recruitment manager, he worked to build centralized recruitment strategies for all categories of employment at UW–Madison and was responsible for managing the Recruitment Initiative for Student Employees (RISE).
Palau is a 1997 graduate of the Havana Polytechnic Institute and speaks four different languages: Spanish, English, Italian and French. An avid chess player, he enjoys spending time with family and friends. He has served on the boards of the Urban League of Greater Madison and Centro Hispano of Dane County, as well as on the executive committee of the UW–Madison Latino Faculty and Staff Association.
